Iraq is facing a looming environmental crisis due to its inaction on climate change. Rising temperatures, water scarcity, and desertification are threatening the country's social stability. The lack of access to clean water and food, combined with the displacement of people due to extreme weather events, are creating a perfect storm of instability. Unless Iraq takes decisive action to mitigate the effects of climate change, the country will continue to suffer from the consequences of its inaction.
